Today in Tha Wire, Snoop & his son Cordell gear-up to star in new reality show and New York City ready to open Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame Museum in 2017.

Snoop Dogg  is no doubt an iconic figure in Hip Hop, but when he's not in the limelight he's a loving father and coach.  From the time he was old enough to play, Snoop served as head coach for his son, Cordells, youth football teams and the John A. Rowland High School.

His hard work has paid-off and Cordell is now one of the top recruits in the nation. AllHipHop reports the 17-year old plays wide receiver and defensive back at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. So far Cordell has recruiting offers from 15 universities to include LSU, Baylor, Notre Dame, USC and more.

With so many eyes on the youngster, it's gonna be interesting to see who he's gonna go with.  But whoever it is, ESPN's is gonna make sure we all know.  The legendary sports network has created a reality show around the superstar dad and his sons promising career called, Snoop & Son: A Dad’s Dream.

Hip-hop was born in New York, so it's only fitting that the city be home to the museum that pays the genre homage.  For more than 30 years Hip Hop has been a major influence in fashion, food and auto sales not to mention transforming into it's own culture.  ed by the opening of a museum in its birthplace of New York City.   The New York Daily News reports in 2017, Harlem and midtown Manhattan will welcome the Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame Museum.  The museum will feature memorabilia from the pioneers Run-DMC, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Outkast, Salt-N-Pepa, Common, Afrika Bambaataa, and many more.

JT Thompson, who produced BET’s Hip-Hop Hall of Fame Awards show, said of the upcoming landmark, “This will be the home of hip hop history.  People need to understand the importance of hip hop, the elements, the DJs, the B-boys and B-girls and the graffiti writers.”

According to the New York Daily News, their gonna get a chance to do just that.  The Harlem location will span 12,000 square feet and not only pay homage to Hip-Hop legends, but house a coffee and juice bar, along with various shops and a TV studio.  It the museum will also serve another purpose, enrolling 50 children a year to participate in a one-of-a-kind media program. The midtown location will be close to Time Square and is gonna be 50,000 square feet.  Word his it, at that location fans will be able to 90-minute tours and interactive exhibits will be housed there as well.

FYI, these aren't the first hip-hop museum in New York. The National Museum of Hip Hop is located in Manhattan on fifth avenue and the Universal Hip-Hop Museum in the south Bronx will also be opening in 2017.
