Yes, you are reading the headline correctly. Snoop Dogg will be attending the prestigious Masters Golf Tournament.

According to AllHipHop, Snoop will be in Augusta, Ga. participating in several events, including his part time gig as a Dj, all while Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, and Dustin Johnson compete for the famed Green Jacket.

The legendary rapper told Golf Digest:

“I know the prestigiousness of being at the Masters, so I respect it and I understand what it means to be here. Hopefully I can influence them [the Masters] to invite more people like myself who are cool and who are hip hop and who are about other things and bring some flavor to the Masters and not just let it be quiet.”

Snoop also made it clear that golf was no easy sport, citing Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods as his favorite golfers, said Golf Digest.

"It looks easy on TV, but it's not that easy. It's a real profession, it's a real sport, it's real coordination, it's real timing.”

Leave it to Snoop Dogg to change the game and bridge the gap between hip hop and golf.
