According to AllHipHop, Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus has given up on his aspirations of becoming a star football player, after signing a letter of intent to play football at UCLA back in February.

The 6’ 2”, 200 pound freshmen never showed up for practice for the UCLA football team. Cordell’s dad may be Snoop, but the kid is a sought after star football recruit. He is also a first-team USA Today All-California pick, said AllHipHop.

In a statement from UCLA’s head coach Jim Mora,

“Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in his life – in particular his love of film through his company Film School Productions,” said Mora.  “Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA.”

Hopefully Snoop isn’t too hurt about his son’s change of plans, after all he’s remaining in school and doing what his heart truly desires. Apple doesn’t fall from the tree, ain’t no business like show business!
