Soulja Boy Banned from Louisiana

I’m not sure why this is news, but shamefully it is. Soulja Boy can't win for losing, but he has his self to blame for the mess he’s in this week.

On Thursday, December 15, SB was arrested for violating the conditions of his probation, after an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers to report him waving guns on Instagram and threatening rappers. Law enforcement paid him a visit at his home, where they found a gun in the house. The rapper was arrested and taken to jail.

The son of late New Orleans Rapper Soulja Slim, Lil Soulja Slim, has now banned the “Crank Dat” rapper from stepping foot in NOLA, let alone the state of Louisiana. In an interview with Dj Smallz, the young rapper discussed his latest mixtape, and details that he once spoke with Soulja Boy about biting the album title of his late fathers Soulja 4 Life album, for his mixtape Real Soulja 4 Life, citing “I actually spoke with Soulja Boy. He explained himself, but it didn’t make sense to me as he was explaining himself.”

The only way SB can step foot in the "Bayou State” now, is if he pays Lil Soulja Slim, “You’re making money off of it. You put it on iTunes. That’s your album. Cut me a check,” said the NOLA rapper.

Though Lil Soulja Slim insists SB stole the mixtape title from his late father’s album, I personally don’t think he did it to disrespect the legacy of Soulja Slim. Of course, you can’t compare Soulja Boy to Soulja Slim, not even. Maybe it was coincidence. Maybe SB has heard of the album and liked the title enough to borrow it. Who knows the truth but Soulja Boy himself.

It seems like petty beef to me at this point, so in the words of rap veteran E-40, “F**k beef get money!”

But for real, if you see Soulja Boy creeping through the streets of Lake Charles, tell him he has to leave. [LOL]
