While the VH1'Love & Hip-Hop' series have been a hit with audiences, producers are a bit of worry that the Los Angeles installment just might not be as exciting.

So what did they do? They brought in rapper/social media maverick Soulja Boy.

According to TMZ, the show's producers were really worried that the new season was full of "weak story lines and uninteresting characters." They figured that perhaps putting in the 'Crank That' rapper will be able to add some punch to the show's story lines and potentially boast ratings.

Currently, the big star of this 'Love & Hip-Hop: L.A.' season is R&B singer Ray J. Other cast members include Bow Wow’s baby mama, Miss Joie, Teairra Marí, Omarion and Yung Berg. However with the addition of Soulja Boy, there will be much more dynamic.

What do you think? Can Soulja Boy save the 'Love & Hip-Hop: L.A.' series? Tell us in the comments below.
