Retired NBA star Steve Francis, 39, got himself into a bit of trouble on Saturday, November 19, shortly after 11 p.m. when he was arrested in Houston.

According to TMZ, the former Houston Rockets star was driving drunk when he was pulled over in a black 2017 Chevy Tahoe doing 88 in a 65. He also didn’t make it easy for the arresting officers as he “vowed revenge” on them.

Police reportedly said that Francis “reeked of booze, was “verbally abusive” to the officers and “uncooperative." He refused a field sobriety test, and cops also found marijuana in his possession.

Steve Francis bonded out on Saturday, but is being charged with DWI, possession of marijuana, and retaliation. He’s reportedly back in jail and facing extradiction to Manatee County, Florida for a burglary charge, said Houston’s ABC13.
