Voting Stops Today At 2 P.M. For The Lake Area School Spirit Throwdown

With only one more week to go in the voting, there’s still time to post enough votes to put your Lake Area school in the lead for our School Spirit Throwdown.
Eight schools are battling it out on our voting page right now — Barbe, Hamilton Christian, LaGrange, St. Louis, Sam Houston, Sulphur, Washington-Marion and Westlake. As of around 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, our vote tally was at over 41,000 votes. The school with the most votes at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31 will win a special tailgate party at a home football game courtesy of our friends at Wingstop and Jammie’s Cakes! The food will be free, and we’re bringing some music, too!
But there will also be prizes for crowd — starting off with the incredibly cool Google Nexus 7 tablet computer. We’ll be adding more prizes all week long, so keep checking back.
Remember, you can vote as many times as you like, and voting is open to students, teachers, faculty ,family, alumni, random strangers — if you can work a mouse, you can vote!
