An ordinary Friday night at a Columbia, South Carolina Barber and Beauty shop went terribly wrong, when two armed robbers walked in demanding money.  KPLC 7 reports the shocking encounter unfolded with several people in the shop, including children on Friday January 22, 2016. The two men came into the Next Up Barber and Beauty with guns and where in the process of robbing the place, when two of the victims pulled out a guns of their own.

The shop turned into the O.K. Corral, as two customers sprang into action to save the day. KPLC 7 reports both suspects where shot at, but one of them died of his injuries. The victims had with valid concealed weapons permits and manage to hit one of the suspects. After being shot, witnesses say he ran out of the shop and collapsed.  The man who remains unidentified, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Thank God no one else was hurt.  Barber Chauncy Harris, told the news it was something he'd never forget.  Harris said,

"He smacked me in the back of my head, and I said, 'Okay, this is probably when he's going to shoot me now and just sent an example and walk on out the door with the money. But that's when my man let loose. That's when everybody else had their stuff and was ready to take care of business."

Columbia Police say the deceased suspects gun was reported stolen from a prior home invasion in 2012.  The investigation is on going as the search for the second suspect continues. Authorities say they're not sure how he escaped nor do they know if he was shot too.
