According to AllHipHop, reports surfaced that MTV's parent company Viacom has denied financial responsibility for MTV airing a dead man’s body on T.I.’s 'Road To Redemption.'

During a February 2009 episode, T.I. visited the dead body of Joseph Williams’ atThe Haugabrooks Funeral Home in downtown Atlanta, a scene that MTV aired. Following the episode back in 2011, Williams’ family sued Viacom for multiple claims including invasion of privacy, violation of likeness and negligent misrepresentations about the decedent.

T.I. has not been mentioned in the lawsuit, so it looks like the responsibility for airing the episode falls solely on MTV and Viacom.
