Zonnique Pullins, daughter of singer-songwriter Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, and stepdaughter of rapper T.I., will have her record cleared for gun possession, if she abides by the judges orders.  She was arrested and charged on June 16, 2016 for carrying a concealed weapon into Atlanta’s Hartfield-Jackson International Airport.

According to TMZ, Zonnique will avoid going to jail, because the 20-year-old has never been in trouble. She will have to take a gun law training class, pay a $500 fine, and complete 60 hours of community service, and submit to random drug tests.

Zonnique has spoke about the incident since it transpired, insisting it was “an honest mistake.”

“I know that’s really irresponsible on my part, but it was really just an honest mistake,” she told People.com. “I was at home, rushing to get to the airport, and I was throwing everything in my purse. The gun is really, really small. It looks like a toy gun. It was just at the bottom of my purse. When I went through security check, I was like, ‘Oh, I forgot it was in there’.”

The .380 Ruger pistol was purchased legally by her mother Tameka “Tiny” Cottle as protection for her daughter. Zonnique told People, “I’m not usually with anybody or security or anything, so I always feel like I have to keep myself safe.” Tiny added, “I just want her to be safe and feel safe at home by herself because if someone comes in or if something happens, she’s all alone, then what is she going to do?”

Pullins has 90 days to fulfill the judges orders for the charges to be dropped.
