African American inventions

I don't know about you, but I want my home safe and secure, whether I'm home or not.  Like anyone, I'd want to know who did it, should my home or business ever be robbed.  Today we salute, African American inventor Marie V.Brittan Brown, is best know for her invention of the first "home security system".

You know what they say, when it rains it pours and it's a scary thing if you gotta drive in it without windshield wipers.  Once again, another black invention makes our lives a lot easier and safer.  Mrs. Mary Anderson, invented the windshield wiper.
