Tamar Braxton has finally addressed her divorce from husband Vincent Herbert. On Wednesday (Nov. 8), the R&B singer went on her Instagram page to explain why she filed for divorce.

In a lengthy open letter, the “Love and War” singer revealed that her marriage was “broken” and a “lie.”

"Sometimes we stay 'married' for face value or to say 'we did it, but the truth is..it couldn’t be more broken &f urther apart than we are NOW! Even on an anniversary!" she wrote in the post. "I've suffered & endured "this" for so long..but the TRUTH is that this was your choice 2 stay we get so caught up in WE are 'winning' in love that we are LOSING a battle that doesn’t have ANYTHING 2 do with us!"

"I didn’t want to be married for the sake of saying so," she continues. "I wanted to have a relationship. Someone to share my/our dreams, our successes, our failures, our past, present & future with..& not finding out shit online...some of us have been living a LIE!"

Tamar went on to suggest that her marriage to Herbert lacked trust and she also accused him of having “one or several girlfriends.”

Tamar's letter comes as her mother, Evelyn Braxton, demanded that Herbert stay away from her daughter before she hurts or even kills her.

For his part, Vincent insists that he's not out to hurt Tamar. In fact, he loves Tamar so much that he wants to reconcile with the R&B singer. But Tamar is not having it.

Tamar and Vincent's impending divorce and drama will unfold on the season premiere of Tamar & Vince on Thursday (Nov. 9) at 9PM ET on WE tv.
