Police in Tampa Bay, Florida are refusing to work a stadium concert on April 29, featuring Beyonce, agreeing with critics claim that the singers controversial “Formation" video is “anti-police.”

There’s a scene in Beyonce’s video, shot in New Orleans, where a wall reads “Stop shooting us,” and the singer is laying on top of a sinking police car, that has people outraged. The singer’s Super Bowl 50 performance has also brought on a firestorm of criticism, where the singer and her back up dancers wore Black Panther themed attire during the half-time show.

According to Tampa’s Fox13, no officers have agreed to work the concert. Off-duty officers normally sign up to work security at events throughout the city for additional income, but as of now the “expected” sold-out show has no uniformed officers on staff, which reportedly poses a security risk.

Tampa Police released a statement stating there’s still time to make sure there are uniformed officers working the event, “regardless of how controversial it might be.”

This is reportedly not the first time officers have refused to work an event where controversy surrounded a politician or celebrity, said the Florida news site.
