Today in Tha Wire...here we go again!  Who will police the police?  How many times do rogue officers need to get caught on camera murdering black men, teenagers and children without justification, many of them unarmed, before something is done?  The body count is steadily climbing, the visual evidence caught on tape is undeniable. Yet time and time again these dirty cops get-off, while another African-American family is left to bury their loved one.

Please understand, I know some very good cops. In fact, I have family and friends who are law enforcement officers and all of them are doing an outstanding job.  So to be clear, in no way am I insinuating all cops are bad, because they're not.  However ,some are!  It's high time the "good guys" start pointing them out and speaking out to bring about change within law enforcement agencies across the nation.

Black on black crime is bad enough!  In fact, it's disgustingly out of control.  To see video after video of these men, teens and boys, being hunted down and murdered like animals by the very hands of some who've sworn to uphold the law is unacceptable. Where is the justice?  Will it ever come?  How can America preach justice to other nations, but refuse to uphold it on our own soil?  Hopefully we will see justice for Alton Sterling.

Baton Rouge cops who murdered the 37-year-old claimed they were wearing bodycams that fell off during their altercation with the father of five.  It's a good thing a witness caught the entire incident on their camera. As a matter of fact, it's being reported additional surveillance footage may soon be available from camera's on nearby buildings and stores in the area.

According to the news Alton Sterling was murdered by a Baton Rouge police officer in front of a Triple S Food Mart, at roughly 12:30 a.m. in the morning. BRPD officials say two officers responded to an alleged call of a man with a gun and selling Cd's in the area.  Shortly after their arrival an altercation ensued between the officers and Sterling. While being pined down on his back, with both of his arms outstretched Sterling was shot at point-blank range.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office stopped short of giving the cause of death, but reported Sterling was shot multiple times in the chest and back.  If you look at the video shot by a by-stander below, it appears he was shot in the face first. Be advised, this is hard to watch.

Cpl. McKneely told the news, "We have video from the store, we're going to get with the store owners, get their video." He continued. "We have a dash cam, I believe the officer had a body camera. I'm not 100 percent sure." Well one things for sure the store owner, Adullah Muflahi, seen the entire incident unfold and told reporters he was just feet from Sterling when police shot him.  Peep the video below to hear what he had to say.KWES NewsWest 9 / Midland, Odessa, Big Spring, TX: newswest9.com |

Cpl. McKneel announced, "It's an ongoing investigation. "We are going to interview the officers and get as much information as we need to do a thorough investigation. We're going to be clear, precise and insure the community knows what transpired here at this location."  Watch as the store owner describe what happened.

It's being reported that a woman claiming to be Sterling's mother came forward and during her interview with reporters, she said her son was recently released from jail and was on parole.  Meanwhile Sterling's sister, Mignon Chambers, told the news her brother had been selling cd's at that store for years.  She added, "I really wanna know more about what happened, about the whole situation, because my brother didn't deserve it. He didn't deserve it at all."  She's right.
