Anyone who know's me, knows I'm an animal loving fool.  I'm pretty bad guys.  Lol!  I've been the proud owner of an American Bulldog for 7-years and he's been awesome.  He's incredibly loving and extremely smart.  He's a lot of my inspiration in trying to help Lake Charles Pit Bull Rescue, find loving homes for dogs like him, who are down on their luck.

American Pit Bull TerrierAmerican Bulldogs, Staffordshire Terriers, Dogo Argentino, Bull Terrier and similar dogs have been given a bad wrap and me and the folks at Lake Charles Pit Bull Rescue want to change that, one dog at a time.
Lake Charles Pit Bull Rescue is a No-Kill, breed specific rescue organization that is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of pitbulls and pit mixes. LCPBR is also an educational based organization and takes in fifty to sixty pitbulls a year.  Each dog is ready for adoption, as they are temperament tested, updated on shots, spayed or neutered, and micro-chipped. The adoption fee is $200 and that includes a training session with their dog trainer, Lake Area k-9 on Broad St.

One dog that can use a loving home and family is 4-year old Anant.  He first came to LCPBR with 3rd degree burns on 75% of his back, and mild burns covering most of his body. To this day, they don't know who or how he was burned.  Anant is house broken, great with kids and people, and loves most dogs he meets.  He has a great personality, in spite of what he's been through, he's very happy dog.  He's also said to be quite the talker when he is hungry!

Anant, like all "Bully's" at Lake Charles Pit Bull Rescue is up to date on shots, heartworm neg, fixed, and chipped.  So he's ready to go!  By the way, his name is Irish for "from the stream", because water fights fire.  For more information about Anant or LCPBR, call 713-854-1895.
