Last night I was invited to be a Judge for "The Great Debate" held in Lake Charles. I am sure many of you have seen the movie starring Denzel Washington, but there was nothing like being in the presence of such a great event live.

It was a very hard decision to make as the young men of The Impact Agency debated on High School Drop outs and the pros and cons of the effects. There were two sides as the Affirmative debated with the Negatives to which at the end of the debate the Affirmative won the case.

I want to commend Cary Chavis who currently holds the title of Community Relations with the Calcasieu Parish District Attorneys office. He really worked with these young men and got them up to speed over the past two months. I had the pleasure of meeting some great men as well including the moderator Ted Williams and Jewell Jones who is the youngest Michigan State Representative in history. The night was truly inspiring and regardless of what side of the fence you were own during the debate. We have to give credit where credit is due.

I want to thank all involved for allowing me to be apart of this and look forward to many other great things to come. Major shouts out to the organizers of The Impact Agency for creating such a positive platform for these young men to be apart of.
