After much speculation Shady Records has announced the signing of rap supergroup Slaughterhouse and rising star Yelawolf.

Headed by Eminem, Shady has sold over 23 million records since forming in 1999, including releases by 50 Cent, D-12, and the soundtrack to 8 Mile.

“Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse, it’s kinda phase two of Shady,” stated Eminem in a press release. “It’s the new generation of Shady Records and as we’re trying to rebuild our label, it’s exciting for hip-hop and with all of these forces coming together and with what everybody’s capable of on the mic, it’s gonna be fun.”

Consisting of members Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5’9 and Crooked I, Slaughterhouse was rumored to be in talks with the label for over a year, while recording their sophomore album. Eminem is said to be heavily involved with the project which should be released later this year.

“It's very exciting for me to reunite with Eminem years after our Bad Meets Evil project together. Slaughterhouse on Shady Records will be a force to reckon with.”, said Royce Da 5’9 who has a storied past with Slim.

Alabama native, Yelawolf also spoke on joining the Shady Records camp.

“ I can tell you that when you’re willing to give your life up to see a dream through, the reward is great. And now that I’ve become an apprentice to one of the greatest artists in the world, my potential reaches beyond anything I ever imagined.

Eminem had a big year for 2010 and he's off to a very big start with the beginning of this year with major moves. I am sure that Em will be heavily involved with both projects.
