Tiffany Haddish Will Make History As First Black Woman Comedian to Host SNL
Tiffany Haddish will be the first black female comedian to host Saturday Night Live.
Haddish was the breakout star in the film Girls Trip, which also starred Jada Pinkett-Smith, Regina Hall, and Queen Latifah. The film had huge success in the box office raking in $113.3 million at the domestic box office. Fans of the film have praised Haddish for her acting and comedic skills.
Since the film’s debut, she has been on a constant rise, and on Nov. 11th she will make her debut on Saturday Night Live as the first black female comedian host. She will be joined by pop singer Taylor Swift who will be the musical guest of the night.
“Can you believe I will be the very first black comedian host?” Haddish wrote in her post on Instagram using her famous hashtag #SheReady.
In addition to her history-making hosting duties, Haddish is also releasing a book titled, The Last Black Unicorn. The book is a collection of funny, edgy, and real autobiographical essays, and is set to be released Dec. 5.
