Rapper Trinidad James has been dropped by label Def Jam.

The Atlanta rapper was signed to Def Jam Records in 2012 for a reported $2 million, after his debut single 'All Gold Everything,' blew up from it's World Star Hip Hop video.

James took to his Twitter over the weekend, in a tweet he's since taken down, and made the announcement stating,

“I should tell yall. I got dropped by the Label. My Album is now free. If u hear ur beat or verse on it. I hope u want dap cuz i got no money.”

It' a tough business, and just as quick as the people love you, they will turn their backs on you. I wish homie the best of luck, and that he keeps on pushing his music as he did before the record labels came running to get a big slice of the gold pie. Being dropped from a major label does not mean your career is over, it simply means s**t happens and you move on and figure out another way to keep the lights on.
