In a second incident this week involving a local school, on Wednesday, November 7, at about 2:30pm, detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office were contacted about a threat from two students at Barbe High School in Lake Charles.

According to Kim Myers from CPSO, investigators learned two 14-year-old boys threatened to shoot up the school. They were also informed one of the boys said "he was going to shoot up the school after he went to the gun store" while the other boy stated "he has a gun ready".

Both juveniles were arrested and charged with terrorizing. One was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center while the other was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC).
