Today in Tha Wire, I'm happy to see Lil Wayne and Birdman resolved their legal issues. It's YMCMB for life! The crowd went crazy when Birdman publicly apologized to his son for allowing money to come between them. The BoomBox reports it all went down in front of thousands of fans in NOLA, during Lil Tunechi's 4th Annual Lil WeezyAna Fest last weekend.

It was a HUGE moment, and something I'm sure Weezy needed to hear, as well as his fans. Now that their long standing legal battle is behind them, they gotta another money issue to deal with. Since 2016 rap star Tyga claims he was stiffed on royalties from two albums he released while signed to Young Money and Cash Money Records. The Rack City rapper got his record deal with the labels in 2009, which included an agreement to drop two albums.

In 2012, Tyga released Careless World: Rise of the Last King, followed by Hotel Californiain 2013. Both LP's debuted in the Top 10, coming in at No. 4 and No. 7 on the Billboard 200. According to TMZ, the rap star claims the money dried up and he was stiffed out of "significant sums" of dough. Fed up, Tyga jumped ship and signed a deal with Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music in 2016.

Once on the other side the Compton MC started to publically bash the labels for withholding his royalties, and filed suit for damages. Tyga accused both labels of beating him out of $1 million in royalties. Sometime between now and then, both sides allegedly agreed to settle and the Taste rap star was supposed to get his money. That never happened, the rapper's turning to the legal system to try and get his funds.

We wish him luck!
