As previously reported a group of men got into a verbal altercation that spilled into the parking lot at actor/rapper/reality star T.I.'s new soul food restaurant in Atlanta, Scales 925.  After being shone the door by staff, the men continued their argument in the parking lot and that's when shots rang out.  One man was shoot in the leg, before leaving the seen in a Porsche.

Now comes word that man was non other that former NBA star Glen Rice Jr.  The son of NBA great Glen Rice, had a brief stint on the court as a pro and currently plays for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA Development League.  Rice Jr. was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2013 NBA Draft and was traded to the Washington Wizards.  Do to a less than stellar stint with the league, he was waived off the Wizards roster at the beginning of the year in January.

HipHollywood confirmed yesterday that the 24-year old was shot in the leg and did get arrested and booked on possession of marijuana and reckless conduct.  Police say Rice Jr. was in possession of  $6, 000 in cash and 240 grams of marijuana.  To make matters worse TMZ is reporting that Rice was with a man named Steven Pryor, who was also with him during a separate gun incident in 2012.

The athlete was taken to the Atlanta City Detention Center first and then released to the to Fulton County Jail, where at last word he is still in custody. He is do back in court today.   As TMZ reported, the entire parking lot incident was caught by surveillance cameras.  It's being revealed the former NBA star is seen in the video throwing a gun into a stairwell before jumping into a Porsche driven by Pryor and speeding off.

Law enforcement is still looking for the shooter at this time.

In other news Kelly Rowland fans will be happy to know the R&B songbird is ready to make her comeback to music.  The singer has taking a little time off to enjoy motherhood and her son Titan.  However it looks like she's ready to get back into the swing of things as BET reports she just dropped a new single.

Rowland's new track "Dumb" will be found on her fifth studio album. No release date or tittle for the LP just yet, but of course I'll keep you posted.  Welcome back Kelly!
