Update On BET Hip-Hop Awards Brawl — Tha Wire [VIDEO]
You know what they say, you can take somebody out of the hood, but you can't take the hood out of them. That saying resonates with last weekends brawl at BET's Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta.
As previously reported rapper Gunplay made his case on what happened last weekend by calling in to TMZ. While on the phone he says, was being approached and rather than run, he stood his ground. For more on what he said click here.
Meanwhile, G-Unit member Mike Knox has gone on the radio to speak on his involvement in the altercation. Here's how that went down.
Can't we all just get along?
In other news, earlier this week BET announced that Bow Wow will co-host "106 & Park" with four others when the new season jumps off. That's the good news, however he was also in court Monday over back child support. Find out how that panned out and how that could effect Bow Weezy's new j.o.b.
In more news, it's been rumored for a while that Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj aren't gelling on the set of American Idol. The are both major Diva's and there was bound to be some sort of fiction, but no one could have guessed how much until the two go into a heated altercation recently. See video of that incident here.
Meanwhile, it should be known American Idol went to great lengths to get Mimi to sign on with the show. Speaking of which, the 42-year-old diva got a whopping $18m for her first year on the show, making her the highest paid judge on reality TV of all time. That by the way is $6m more than Jennifer Lopez earned for her first year. Nicki is reportedly getting $8 and 12 milli and Ryan Seacrest is keeping his $15 mill salary.
