Chris Brown is not only a talented singer, but an artist. He’s very much in to graffiti/street art as displayed on his retaining wall outside of his home. Apparently, his neighbors are not fans of his music or his art skillz. So much so, the local neighborhood watch in his area have reported him to the city council. In a nutshell, their saying his art is terrifying and frightening the children in the neighborhood. The city council agreed and he has 30 days to take it down. Is this fair? I’m aware that a lot of people don’t like Chris Brown and I am also aware why. However, we ALL must be careful about bringing a bag of rocks to a fight, when we ourselves live in a glass house. Another words, we are all sinners and we all want forgiveness when we make mistakes….get off this kids back. Chris Browns lawyer, Mark Geragos said of his neighbors actions, “They are trying to suspend the First Amendment.” Geragos alleges neighbors are harassing Brown and have also made parking complaints about him and called animal control.
By the way, the Grammy award winning artist recently joined creative forces with acclaimed graffiti artist Slick to raise funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation and Best Buddies International, which took place in March. Let it be known, that their collaborative artwork was auctioned off to benefit the charity. So, is trying to do good things with his talent.
Are Chris’ neighbors out of line? Should they mind their business and leave him alone? Or do you his art is scary? Do you think he should take his art down? Let us know what you think. Plus if your a 107 Jamz MVP, take this poll and earn and extra 500 points for your account.
