Apollo Nida's sentencing as he was jailed for eight years for bank and wire fraud - and it appears their marriage is over.

The explosive season 7 premiere of the 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' aired this weekend and everybody's talking about the drama between Phaedra Parks and her husband Apollo Nida.  A day or two before his sentencing for bank and wire fraud, Phaedra took her boys and booked a penthouse hotel room and left her husband to fin for himself.  Her position was, he lied about his criminal activity and didn't think about how it would effect his family or her good name as a an attorney and business woman.

Apollo, on the other hand felt abandoned and needed her support.  He didn't know where she was and was devastated that she wasn't there for him.  Apolla was scared that he would be taken into custody immediately and wouldn't get a chance to see his sons or wife before he had to go to jail.

He said, ‘I basically controlled shell corporations and I got caught because a co-conspirator got into a bind and decided to bring me in,’ he continued, ‘My wife and children left me. The woman I thought was supposed to be there for me and to cherish me is nowhere to be found.’

Was Phaedra wrong for that?  Let us know.  Meanwhile, Phaedra explained her position on the matter saying,

She told her mother, whether I go to court or not is not going change anything,’ ‘Apollo’s actions constitute the ultimate betrayal because I trusted him and I thought he was a changed man.  ‘I am not going to subject my kids to any of this crazy press stuff because I do not want them to have any idea about this disaster that is going on.

‘As a full-time mother, student, career woman and wife I do not have time to babysit a full grown man. So when he tells me he is doing his job I believed that was exactly what he was doing.  The reality star sat down with Ellen and here's what she had to say:

Apollo burst into tears and cried on his brothers shoulder, as he talked about his uncertain future.  He told the cameras he wanted his family with him and needed to see them before going to court.  However, it would be two days after he was sentenced, that she decided to go home.

Apollo's time is limited these days, but he stopped by BE100 to tell his side of the story.
