Washington Marion Will Have Celebration Parade In Honor Of Championship Win [PHOTO]

This past weekend was very monumental for Lake Charles. The Washington Marion Charging Indians won the 2016-2017 State 4 A Championship against AJ Ellender on Saturday. The game was even more special as this is their first championship win in 30 years.

So it was only right that there would be a big parade to celebrate the victory and the date has been set. It will happen on Sunday March 26th with lineup being at 3 pm at the MLK center on North Simmons Street with the parade leaving at 4 pm. The parade will leave North Simmons street, turning right on Opelousas Street followed by a right turn on North Goss, then a right on Fitzenreiter and then back to the MLK Center.

The application to participate can be picked up inside the WM Office. Please come out and show your support for these young men who played their hearts out all season. I am sure that they will be more then happy to see all of your smiling faces.
