The November election is approaching.  Are you registered to vote?  The deadline is October 6th and early voting begins October 21st.

This is a very important election and will determine whether the President will have more people working with him or against him in Washington. Trust me, your life depends on how that ends up.  What side are you on?  VOTE!!!!!  Here's all the details. The most important thing you can do as an American is vote. However being an educated voter, makes you a powerful voter.  So, the first thing to know is what changes have occurred this year.  Several actually.  Unfortunately, in some states these changes were designed to make it harder to vote.

Voters will elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the State of Louisiana in Novembers election. Incumbent Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu is running for re-election to a fourth term against Bill Cassidy and Rob Maness.  Plus, there will be 14 amendments in November's election and it's very important to understand what your voting for or against.

Be aware that there is a time limit on how long you can be in a voting booth.  It's always good to read over all the amendments and print out your sample ballet before you go to the polls.  Contact the Calcasieu Parish Voter Of Registrars office for more info regarding absentee voting, new voter identification cards, polling locations and times and more.
