In a surprise move Nike released Kanye West’s Air Yeezy 2 ‘Red October’ on Sunday (Feb. 9) without any warning.  Those who didn't get a pair are were beside themselves and pissed that Nike didn't give any fair warning.  As previously announced the highly sought after kicks were suppose to drop last year on December 27th.  When that didn't happen, sneakerheads and Kanye fans weren't the only ones upset.  Nike's failure to launch the Yeezy 2 Red October as planned, made Kanye West so made he severed ties with the shoe giant and signed a deal with their competitor Adidas.

There's no denying the rappers all-red tennis shoe is his most sought-after and highly elusive shoe in recent memory.  Believe it or not, the tennis shoe sold out in 11 minutes at $245 a pair.  So if you copped a pair, your a very lucky individual.  As for the hundreds of fans who didn't get a pair, they took to Twitter to give Nike a peice of their mind.

First and foremost, it was never written in stone that DMX was really going to fight Zimmerman.  Yes, the rapper was more than willing to get in the ring with Trayvon Martin's killer, but his PR rep, explained why it wasn't really official inside Tha Wire below.

Mediate.com reports on Saturday (Feb. 8), Feldman took to his Twitter account and announced to his followers that he decided to cancel the event due to all the controversy.  Strangely enough, no sooner did he tweet the fight cancellation, he deleted all of his tweets.  However, not before gossip site Mediate.com captured a screen shot of Feldman’s tweets.  Here's what Damon Feldman told his followers.

“The George Zimmerman fight is canceled I’m sorry for anyone I hurt with this but this was a very big opportunity thank you. I want to thank everyone for the good [and] bad comments. I’ve made the choice to cancel the fight [with] George Zimmermann more to life then money.  I walked away from [a] million dollar payday with this fight but to be honest I’d rather be happy and make people happy thank you.”

Meanwhile Damon Feldman says he will hold a press conference on Wednesday (Feb. 12) to explain his position further.
