As the investigation into why the body of a deceased woman was found in the trunk of a car during a traffic stop in Lake Charles, more charges were given to the driver. According to a media release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, on October, 26, Sarah M. Parker received additional charges for 2 counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and commission of another felony.

Parker's bond is set at $160,000, with her charges also including obstruction of justice and failure to report a homicide.

On Sunday, October 23, CPSO received a call about a woman driving around with a dead body in her trunk. The car was later located traveling on North Franklin Street in Lake Charles. A traffic stop was conducted where the body of the deceased woman was found in the trunk of the car.

Sarah M. Parker, 24, of Moss Bluff, was the driver, and the passenger, Logan T. Kyle, 22, an active duty soldier at Fort Polk was the husband of the deceased woman found in the truck. There was also a 1 and 2-year-old in the car, both are Parker's kids, who were taken into custody by the Department of Children and Family Services.

Kyle reportedly killed his wife at Fort Polk, and with Parker's knowledge of what happened, were going to attempt to dispose of her body.
