One of the WWE's most iconic wrestlers, Ultimate Warrior has died at age 54.

There's no question that Ultimate Warrior, whose real name is James Hellwig, was one of the most influential in WWE history. According to reports the wrestling superstar, passed away Tuesday (April 8) at age 54. Warrior's partner-in-crime and fellow wrestler Triple H confirmed the sad news on Twitter, but didn't mention the cause of death.

Being such an iconic figure to the sport and fans the WWE issued a press release to announce the passing of Ultimate Warrior and offer his family and friends their heart felt condolences.  He was charismatic, known for his acrobatic wrestling skills, war-painted face and defeating Hulk Hogan during the 1990 WrestleMania VI for the world title.

It's funny how things happen, because just days prior to his death, Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and even appeared at Wrestlemania 30 and ‘Monday Night Raw.’   Ultimate Warrior is survived by his wife Dana and his two daughters.
