Good news for Memphis rapper Yo Gotti, as his hit single "Rake It Up" has been certified platinum by the RIAA. The Nicki Minaj assisted single topped Billboard's Hot 100 chart back in August, so we knew it was only a matter of time before he achieved his latest accomplishment.

Gotti shouted out the song's producer Mike Will Made-It and Nicki on Instagram on Friday, October 6 with the following caption: “Good Morning! We STILL DOING NUMBERS! #IStillAM #RakeItUp PLATINUM 💿 S/o @nickiminaj x @mikewillmadeit".

When I first heard "Rake It Up" I knew he had a hit on his hand, within days of its release it had already entered the top 10. That doesn't happen very often, especially for a hip-hop artist.

At this rate, we expect Gotti to score double platinum with "Rake It Up", but his latest achievement gives him his second certified platinum single behind 2016's "Down in the DM."

Amid the drama that's unfolded with the shooting of fellow Memphis rapper, Young Dolph, this is good news for Yo Gotti. Congrats!
