An arrest has been made in the shooting that injured Young Dolph in Los Angeles yesterday. According to KTLA, a 43-year-old man named Corey McClendon has been booked by LAPD on suspicion of attempted murder.

LAPD Detective Meghan Aguilar says McClendon was arrested Tuesday (Sept. 27) near Highland Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard shortly after Dolph was shot in the valet parking area of the Loews Hotel.

At this time, it's not clear whether McClendon was actually the shooter or simply one of the three men who got into an altercation with Dolph in the street before the shooting occurred. McClendon is currently being held on $1 million bail.

Police said yesterday Dolph and his crew got into an argument with three men outside the Loews Hotel in Hollywood. "They had an argument, which escalated to a physical fight," Aguilar said. "At one point, Young Dolph was knocked to the ground. And then one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and began shooting at him."

Following the shooting around 1:15 p.m. PDT yesterday, Dolph was rushed to emergency surgery. He is now said to be in "critical but stable" condition.

Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck tells KABC-TV Dolph was "targeted because of who he is and some kind of beef that’s ongoing. I think this was something he brought with him from across the United States. The rivalry doesn't stop just because they're in California."

TMZ reported Yo Gotti was a person of interest in the case, but the LAPD told XXL this morning that's not true.

McClendon is, however, an affiliate of Gotti's. Back in 2010, they were both arrested for a 2010 club shooting. Below is his mugshot.
