Today in Tha Wire Houston rap legend Z-RO was arrested yesterday. According to several news sites authorities booked the H-town MC for allegedly beating up his ex, R&B singer Just Brittany. TheBoomBox reports he's just being picked-up, for a incident that actually went down in April. Harris County Police report the rapper unleashed a violent physical attack on his former girlfriend, that supposedly lasted approximately two-hours.

If it turns out to be true this is sad news for a couple that appeared to be making some major power moves together. Last year they teamed up on the track ,"Mama Should've Told Me." The single can be found on Just Brittany's new album, Stripped. Peep the video below.

Brittany reported the alleged assault at the Harris County Police department on Monday this week. The singer did not addressed why she waiting so long to do so. However to back up her claim, she reportedly had an audio recording of the brutal encounter. Authorities evidently believed what they heard was significant enough to arrest The Mo City Don. So they picked him up Wednesday July 26, and charged him with aggravated felony assault.

Though she's been silent about the alleged assault for the last three months, Brittany is speaking out now. Today her legal team issued a statement on her behalf via the singers Facebook:

At last word Z-Ro, whose real name is Joseph Wayne McVey IV, is being held without bond. So far his camp has issued no comment on the matter. As always if more details become available, I will bring you more details.
