Allhiphop reports R&B singer August Alsina passed out, mid-performance in New York last night.  The 22-year old was performing at the Irving Plaza as part of his The Testimony Live tour.  One minute he was singing, the next he collapsed.  Peep the video below to see how it all went down.

As you can see the shocked and stunned fans looked on as security rushed to his aid.  Once it became apparent that he was unconscious, the picked him up and called for emergency assistance.

At last word the singer was hospitalized for a brief time and fans reacted to the crazy turn of events on Twitter.  Some reported dehydration may have played a role, while another said the singer complained his stomach hurt and he didn’t get to eat before the show.  That’s all speculation at this point.  It's not clear why he feel out, as his team hasn’t made a statement about his condition yet.  Regardless, our thoughts and prayers are definitely with him and we wish a speedy recovery.

On things for sure, the New Orleans native has had a mind blowing year and he’s been performing non-stop.  So exhaustion may have played a role in him passing out.  He’s pushed out several hits, winning “Best New Artist” at the BET Awards to launching the Testimony Live Tour in mid-August and recently premiered his new video “No Love (Remix)” featuring Nicki Minaj. If that’s not enough, as he wraps up his tour, he’ll have a couple of weeks to rest before he heads back out on the road.
