As we know a grand jury failed to indict former Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in the death of Michael Brown.  Even still, most held out hope that the U.S. Justice Department would pursue civil rights charges against Wilson.  AllHipHopNews reports, that's not going to happen.  As it turns out, the Justice Department doesn't have enough evidence to make any charges stick.

Reportedly, to bring federal charges against the former officer, the Justice Department would've had to prove that Wilson intended to violate Brown’s civil rights when he shot him.  After a lengthy F.B.I investigation, they simply couldn't produce evidence to support the charges.  So, basically the case is closed.

However, there is a small chance this decision came be overruled, listen to Tha Wire below and find out how.  In the meantime, the Brown family’s lawyer, Benjamin L. Crump declined to comment on their behalf on the decision until the Justice Department makes an official statement.

At press time Crump gave a comment of his own and told the New York Times, “We’ve heard speculation on cases before that didn’t turn out to be true.  It’s too much to put the family through to respond to every rumor.”
