I love to get interviews with artist that I listened to when I was really loving music. I have been lucky enough to sit down and talk with everyone from C-Loc, Avant, Scarface and now Lil O. While Lil O is still hogging the game and making plenty of hot music. I thought it was time that he get a little recognition for his major contribututions to the hip hop game.

We all know that Lil O hails from the great city of Houston, Texas and is known for being one of the first artist from the H to really go mainstream and have major success. I met him around 2004 when he was back on his independent grind and pushing a single that he had with Beyonce. While I was shocked that he was reaching out to me, we chopped it up and have maintained a rather good friendship. He stopped by the show and we talked about his place in the game, what he's working on and more.

Props to the homie for always keeping it real and coming through to hang out with me during my show today. This is one thing that I can tell alot of artist that they need to keep the grind in their heart because it can be taken away from you quickly. The grind can't stop as long as you're hustling like it's your first time. Make sure you cop the latest album from Lil O and if you want to get really familiar with the Phat rat with the cheese cop the Greatest Hits.
