Beyonce Facetimes A High School Fan With Stage 4 Cancer

Today in Tha Wire it's good to know there's still a lot of love in the world. Beyonce' has taken herself out of the spotlight for very obvious reasons. The Grammy award winning singer/actress is very pregnant with twins, and though it hasn't been disclosed how far along she is...it's safe to assume at least 7 to 8 months. So she taking it easy right about now.

Yesterday it was revealed that the singer made a small gesture, that changed a young fan's life forever. According to reports a high school senior in her hometown is in the battle of her life, and she happens to be a HUGE Beyonce' fan. Ebony Banks of Houston, Texas has spent most of her senior year at MD Anderson fighting to beat, Ewings Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer, that attacks the body's soft tissue and unfortunately it's in stage 4. As her family rallies in prayer for a cure, her Alief Hastings High School classmates came up with an idea to raise her spirits. They wanted to give Ebony the ultimate graduation present, an opportunity to meet Beyonce'.

They took to the internet and launched a social media campaign, #EBOBMEETBEYONCE, in hopes of making their friends dreams come true. Ebob is Ebony's nickname by the way, and her friends were relentless in getting the hashtag shared on every site and page they could. An it paid off!!! Somehow Ebony's friends got Beyonce's attention. What happened next, was nothing short of remarkable...Beyonce called Ebony on Facetime!!!!!

Thanks to her loyal classmates and the Beyhive, Ebony was able to meet her favorite artist! It may not seem like much to some, but that was an enormously generous thing for Beyonce to do. She didn't have to respond at all. She could have sent a letter, a text or email. Instead the biggest superstar in the world not only called her young fan, she Facetimed her. That speaks to how genuine Bey is. Hopefully this will go a long way, in giving Ebony the strength she needs to beat this disease. Our prayers for a speedy recovery are with you Ebony!!!!!
