DeJ Loaf is gearing up to make a splash this year. Today (June 16), she releases “No Fear,” which is produced by Christoph Andersson. This is the first official single off her forthcoming, major label debut album. Liberated, slated to drop later this year.

"No Fear" is a new sound for DeJ. It's way more pop-friendly, but upon first listen, you'll instantly want to get up and dance. For the Detroit native, she raps about making time for love.

"Even though I live my life on the road/Doesn't mean I don't have time for you/Plenty have tried, almost came close/But none of them compare to you/So let's live our life, more than one night/Promise if I could, I'd do it twice," she raps.

It's her first official single since F*ck a Friend Zone, her collaborative mixtape with Jacquees, which dropped last year. She previously released her EP, #AndSeeThatsTheThing, in 2015.

Liberated will be executive produced by multi-platinum selling, Grammy-nominated producer Ricky Reed. XXL spoke to Dej, a former XXL Freshman, late last year about the road to her debut LP.

"My process has always been just to take my time and perfect it," she said. "I never cared about just putting out music like everybody else and I still don’t. I believe if it’s meant to happen it’s gonna happen. I don’t feel like my time is running out. I know how this industry goes, I’m learning it. I get frustrated sometimes because I get anxious like, I want to put out music! At the same time I’m patient. If my album isn’t meant to happen it’s going to be what it’s going to be. I’m a believer in what I do. That’s how I look at it. It’s gonna work, it’s fine."
