The City of Lake Charles's outdoor concert series "Downtown at Sundown" winds down this Friday, June 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the Flamethrowers.

There will be "children’s activities, food from downtown restaurants, tabletop art galleries, and arts and craft sales", said a media release. The event takes place on Ryan Street in front of Historic City Hall and the Parish Courthouse, located at 1001 Ryan Street. The past three Fridays featured The Tugboats, Rusty Metoyer & The Zydeco Krush, and the Lost Bayou Ramblers, as well as preceded the burial of the time capsule on May 25, after a year-long Sesquicentennial celebration.

The Southeast Tourism Society (STS) recently honored Downtown at Sundown as a 2018 Top 20 Event for the month of May.
