However, I was unaware of this toxic plant that grows throughout the Bayou State. According to what I recently read, this plant can be found all over Louisiana Parishes.

Which toxic plant should we be on the lookout for in Louisiana?

Just by name, it's Poison Hemlock. One of the deadliest plants in North America is poison hemlock. Every part of the plant, including the roots, leaves, stems, and seeds, is toxic.

Because of its sap, which can be rubbed into your eyes or inadvertently consumed while handling food, poison hemlock should not be handled or touched.

This toxic plant grows well in moist areas and close to bodies of water. However, it also appears to perform well on wide areas.
