This week Southwest Louisiana could see some heavy rains over the next few days according to forecasters. Experts are watching an area of disturbed weather in the Southern Gulf of Mexico that could produce four to six inches of rain in the next few days.

With that being said, The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has announced that they will be opening all sandbag locations in the parish for residents to go and fill up bags if needed.

  • ·Former Old Tyme Variety Store location – 810 Ruth St., Sulphur
  • ·Public Works East – 5500-B Swift Plant Road, Lake Charles (go to back gates located on James Sudduth Parkway).
