Events In Lake Charles & SWLA This Weekend August 2-4

The first weekend of August is here! Some cool events are happening in the lake area, including big concerts, a fishing festival, and live music at local restaurants and bars in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana.

If you are trying to figure out what to do this weekend, here is a list of things going on in the area for you to choose from.

Country music sensation Chris Lane will perform at the Golden Nuggets Grand Event Center on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024. He will perform his hits Fix, For Her, Tack Back Home Girl, and I Don't Know About You. He will take the stage at 8:00 pm.

The Cameron Fishing Festival will take place in Cameron, Louisiana this weekend and will run from Friday, August 2nd through Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 featuring live music from Leroy Thomas on Friday and Geno Delafose on Saturday night. Here is the full lineup of events for the festival. 

Linda's Lounge on Lake Street in Lake Charles will have Chris Breaux and Six String Rodeo on Friday night and Mason Trail on Saturday night. Both artists will perform from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am each night.

Loggerheads on Old Town Road in Lake Charles off Highway 171 will have live music all weekend long. Friday night they will have Shawow Road, Saturday night Mark Reeves and Twisted X and Sunday afternoon it will be Buddy Andrews.

Casey Peveto will be live at On The Rocks on McNeese Street Friday night in Lake Charles.
