Ever Wanted To Be A Police Officer? Lake Charles Police Is Hiring

Have you ever wanted to be a police officer and serve the public? How would you like a rewarding career? Are you tired of what you have been doing for a living and looking for a change?

Then this is for you. You can be part of a great organization and make a difference in the Lake Charles community all at the same time. The Lake Charles Police Department (LCPD) is holding its next recruitment day in February of 2025.

This is your chance to start the process of joining a professional law enforcement agency and make a difference while being rewarded at the same time. The job is one of those where you can leave each day knowing that you helped someone in need or you may have changed their lives forever with your help.

I served 11 years as a Deputy at the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office on patrol helping our citizens with whatever they needed. It was one of my proudest times in my life putting on that uniform and serving my community where I grew up.

You can now do the same thing and all you have to do is take the first step. On Saturday, February 8th, 2024 the LCPD is holding their next recruiting event. It will take place at the Lake Charles Ward 3 recreation complex located at 3210 Power Center Parkway in Lake Charles. It gets underway at 8:00 am that morning.

The LCPD is offering a $6000 hiring bonus and you also get medical, dental, and vision benefits. You will also have a retirement system in place. You also have all your uniforms and equipment provided to you along with a take-home police car or unit as we call it.
