Game Time & TV Channel Announced For McNeese/Florida Gators Game On Sept. 9

Are you ready for football season yet? It will be here before you know it and we know you are ready to get your friends together and do some tailgating and root your favorite team onto victory.

McNeese Football fans, we know you're definitely ready for the upcoming season as the Pokes will have a big game early in the season. The Cowboys will travel to Gainsville early in the 2023 football season to take on the Florida Gators on September 9th, 2023.

Last year, the McNeese Cowboys finished the season with a 4-7 overall record. Even though the Cowboys finished the season under five hundred, there was a bright side to the season.

Coach Gary Goff and the players came together toward the end of the season and reeled off three straight victories at the end of 2022. season. They beat Eastern Illinois, Houston Christian, and Lamar to finish the year.

Those three straight wins fired up the Pokes fan base and had them already looking forward to the next season which will get underway on September 2nd. McNeese fans were super excited when they saw the 2023 Cowboys football schedule.

When the schedule was released, one game stood right out. It is the game against the SEC's Florida Gators. That game is set for Saturday, September 9th, 2023 in Gainsville.

Yesterday, McNeese Sports announced that the SEC had announced the game time and television channel the Cowboys and Gators game would be on and time played. Here is their post.

McNeese will kick off the 2023 season on Saturday, September 2nd when they host Tarleton State in Lake Charles at Cowboys Stadium at 7:00 pm.
