The weekend is here folks and this weekend some big concerts are going on in the lake area. From Cajun to Zydeco, to Country, to Hip Hop, all genres of music will be covered in the area this weekend with some big-name artists performing live.

First let's start in Kinder, Louisiana as rapper Ja Rule will be live at Coushatta Casino Resort on Saturday night, September 21 inside its entertainment center. The doors for the show open at 7:00 pm and the show starts at 8:00 pm.

Grammy Award Winner Wayne Toups will be playing a FREE concert Friday night, September 20th for the Cowboy Block Party hosted by the McNeese Athletic Foundation and sponsored by Lake Charles Toyota.

Attendees are allowed to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, and ice chests with whatever they want to drink, and it's free to enter. The gates open at 6:00 pm and Wayne hits the stage at 7:30 pm. It takes place at The Grove on the corner of Common & McNeese Streets.

Country music icon Gary Allan will be live Friday night September 20th at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center in Lake Charles. Gary is known for hits like Watching Airplanes, Her Man, Every Storm Runs Out Of Rain, Nothing On But The Radio, and more. Gary will hit the stage at 8:30 pm that night.

Geno Delafose and French Rockin' Boogie will be performing live at the Horseshoe Casino in Westlake, Louisiana Saturday night. They will be inside Brew Brothers which is located right off the casino floor inside the Horseshoe. You must be 21 or older to enter. Geno and the boys hit the stage at 9:00 pm that night and play until Midnight.
