If Cajuns Named Hurricanes: These Storms Would Hit Louisiana
(KNGT-FM) - We all know how off the wall we can be here in Louisiana. We like to cut up, joke around, and have some fun. But when it comes to hurricane season, we do settle down a little bit and take things seriously, seeing that our state has been hit with some doozies over the past 10 years.
As we all get prepared for the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season which starts on June 1, 2025. We all know that hurricanes have names, and they are named by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) each year. They have already released this years 2025 Atlantic hurricane names.

So we started thinking, what if Cajuns from Louisiana had the chance to name hurricanes? What do you think those would be? Would they name them after themselves? Or would they want to name them after their favorite Cajun food dish? Maybe they would just name it some crazy stuff they use all the time, like their favorite pot they cook in, just to get some laughs.
Lord only knows what our folks would come up with, but here are a few examples.
