Lake Charles & SWLA 4th of July Concerts and Fireworks Guide

The fourth of July weekend gets underway tomorrow, with most of you having Friday off. We all love when a holiday lands on a Friday or Monday because we get an instant three-day weekend.

So, what to do, you ask? We have searched around and found events and concerts that are happening in the Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana area for the holiday. Here's your guide.

The city of Deridder is holding its Fourth Fest that includes live music, contests, and fireworks. It is all taking place on July 4 in Deridder, Louisiana.

Casey Donahew will be live at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center Saturday night, July 5th. The show will start at 8:00 pm.

The city of Lake Charles' “Red, White, Blue & You!” Celebration will take place on Friday, July 4th. The music lineup includes:

• 4:30 pm -- Dani Lacour’s
• 6:15 pm -- Patriotic program and concert from the Lake Charles Community Band
• 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm -- L.A. ROXX
• 9:15 pm -- Fireworks display over the lake in downtown Lake Charles

Just north of Lake Charles in Moss Bluff, Louisiana they will have the Family Red, White & Boom. It is taking place at the Moss Bluff Rec Fields on Thursday evening, July 3, 2025.

The Jellystone/Yogi Bear’s RV Park and Resort will be holding its Red, White & Boo‑Boo event. According to its website,

Celebrate America with a bang! Test your speed in the watermelon eating contest, dodge your way through a water gun fight, and create your DIY firework craft. The fun continues with pie in a face tag and a flag-raising ceremony to honor the holiday!
