[KNGT-FM] If you live in Southwest Louisiana, then you already know that the traffic around the area is terrible. It seems that if construction is going on on one bridge, you are more likely to see a problem arise on the other bridge.

For the past few months, we have been dealing with the I-210 bridge westbound being reduced to one lane due to the DOTD conducting work on the bridge, including the replacement of lights damaged during Hurricanes Laura and Delta. The lights were completely removed from the bridge after the hurricanes, but now crews are working to install new lights on the bridge, and that is why the lane closures are occurring.

With that being said, a lot of people are trying to avoid I-210 together and have been driving through the city of Lake Charles to get to I-10, causing major congestion within the city. On top of that, the traffic along the I-10 Corridor has become heavy, and with all the traffic on the road, the I-10 bridge starts backing up, especially in the evening as people head home from work.
