Attention Lake Charles Residents: Your Trash Won’t Be Picked Up Friday
[KNGT-FM] We are all so busy in our daily lives that we tend to forget things easily. Well, I do at least. We all forget about things like holidays that are coming up, or we are aware that a holiday is coming, but we forget things close during those holidays that can affect our day-to-day lives.

Such is the case coming up. Friday, July 4th, is coming up, and of course, we all know that it is a national holiday. Most people will have a three-day weekend as your work will be closed for the national holiday.
Banks, mail, federal and state buildings, and many other offices and services will be closed for the holiday. One of those services that will not be available on Friday, July 4th, will be your trash pickup if you live in the city of Lake Charles, and they will empty your garbage cans.
The city of Lake Charles will be closed that day to observe the 4th of July holiday. The city of Lake Charles gave us the heads up on he new schedule of when your trash would be picked up.
Garbage and Trash normally picked up on Friday will be picked up on Saturday, July 5.Monday, Tuesday and Thursday routes will remain on their regular schedules. All Recycling stations, including the Team Green recycling truck and the incinerator will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025. They will resume regular operations on Monday, July 7, 2025.--City Of Lake Charles
