Popular Louisiana Waterpark Not Opening For Summer 2025 Season
Summer is right around the corner, which means families will be looking to take a much-needed vacation, and one of the popular destinations is a waterpark. Waterparks are a favorite among families because not only give the kids a ton of attractions within the park, but help in beating the Louisiana heat and humidity.
We have learned that one of Louisiana's most popular waterparks will not open for the 2025 Summer season this year. This waterpark features 20 attractions, including a wave pool, a lazy river, a behemoth bowl, Flyin' Pirogue, a quadruple aqualoop, ProSlide Tornado, and many other slides. It opened back in 1989, but this year, it looks like they will be closed.

The waterpark, Blue Bayou, is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, right next to the amusement park Dixie Landing. According to reports, Dixie Landing will be open this year, but the waterpark will not.
Fox 8 first reported the news, saying,
According to the company, Blue Bayou Water Park will not open in 2025. Dixie Landin’ Theme Park will open for the 2025 season on Friday, May 23, at 10 a.m.
